Meet Melissah
Hi, I’m Melissah — a postpartum doula, educator and mum of three, passionate about caring for the mother as she finds her way into this new chapter of life.
Having experienced pregnancy, birth and those early postpartum days three times myself, I understand how much can change once you bring your baby home. Each experience is different, and I understand that there truly is no one-size-fits-all approach to motherhood.
I believe mothers deserve to feel nurtured, supported and cared for, not simply expected to carry on while they care for everyone else. The early weeks with a new baby can be beautiful, overwhelming, exhausting and full of change. My role is to help make that transition feel a little gentler.
My approach is calm, compassionate and practical. I offer a listening ear, a helping hand and a safe space where you can ask questions, rest, process your experience and build confidence in your own way of mothering.
Through practical support, newborn education, feeding and settling support within my scope, and simple nurturing care, I aim to take some of the pressure off so you can focus on recovering, connecting with your baby and finding your rhythm as a family.
Alongside being a mum, I continue to work as a Primary school Teacher. I bring a love of learning, evidence-informed practice and a genuine belief that mothers deserve care that is respectful, individualised and free from judgement.
Most importantly, I want the mothers I support to feel heard, respected and reminded that they don’t have to do it all alone.
You deserve to be cared for too.
Training completed with Newborn Mothers so you can feel supported with a commitment to evidence-informed care. A proud member of the Doula Network of Australia
